Visit Karathona on one of your beach escapades, and enjoy a long, sandy beach dotted with small tavernas & cafes. Karathona beach is a popular place among locals and tourist since its offers a spacious shore with enough space for everyone! Accessible by car and on foot from the "Arvanitia Round" a path that leads from the town's centre to the beach following the coast or you can also reach the beach by bus during the summer months.
Arvanitia is a beach in Nafplio located right next to the centre of town. Favoured for how close it is to the centre and ideal for a quick dip after you are done visiting the site or exploring the Old Town or before you return to Tolo. The beach of Arvanitia is a pebble beach and continues onto the rocks where people like to go for a sense of privacy since the main part of the beach is often lively. Plaka beach is found on the coast after the Kastraki beach and is also a pebble beach with a mix of sand, a couple tavernas & cafes and offers a vibe between busy and relaxed. Plaka in Drepano is a great choice if you want to change scenery but don't want to go too far from Tolo. Often chosen by younger crowds the beach of Kondyli, also known as Agios Nikolaos, offers a gorgeous view, white sands & an entertaining atmosphere where a couple of beach bars play music under the sun. Visit Kondyli from Tolo and enjoy meeting people, listening to music or simply relax in a different setting. Very close to the shore one can admire the church of "Agios Nikolaos" (Saint Nick) protector of sailors, hence the dual name of the beach.
